FallIn fall we sell a wide variety of vegetables that we raise on land in East Hartford & South Windsor, plus we bring in other fresh vegetables and fresh fruits to provide a great selection for our customers. Pick-Your-Own runs until frost. Farmers' Markets go from mid to
late October. Try something new! If you didn't try the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) yet, sample it so you'll know if you want to do it next year. You can try it for either September or October only. (There are only 3 CSA Thursdays in Oct. so the cost would be $45, which is $15/week.) In 2010, the last CSA pick-up (Oct. 21) included: cabbage, apples, tomatoes, pickling cukes, spaghetti squash, bell peppers, onions, beets, carrots & some hot peppers, just to give you an idea of what kind of things you might get. We also threw in a few decorative gourds. Items we grow ourselves include: tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers (sweet & hot
varieties), summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, carrots,
beans (green, wax, Kentucky Wonders, etc.), watermelons, muskmelons,
cantaloupes, Swiss chard, kale, collards, okra, peas, eggplant, basil, parsley and much more.
